Red Vein Treatment Information

What is a Red Vein Treatment?

A red vein treatment is the process of removing red veins. Red veins can be anything from thread veins, spider veins, broken capillaries and cherry angiomas (also known as blood clots). During a red vein treatment a vascular laser is used to greatly reduce or eliminate the appearance of the veins.

During red vein treatment a specific wavelength of light is pulsed onto the skin through the vascular laser to target the blood within the superficial vessels. When the blood in the vessels dries up the vessel walls collapse and stick together. The bodies own natural healing process then carries these dried particles of blood through the blood stream leaving the skin looking a lot clearer with an even skin tone.

Where can a red vein treatment treat?

Red veins usually appear on the face and legs so a red vein treatment can be used on both areas.

Can I have a reaction to the red vein treatment?

Reactions to a red vein treatment are very rare and most people who undergo the treatment can go about their everyday business virtually straight away without it being noticeable.

How many red vein treatment sessions will I need?

In most cases people only require 2 – 3 sessions of red vein treatment but in some cases only a single session of red vein treatment is required.

What is the cost for a red vein treatment?

You should contact your local Total Fitness Laser Clinic directly for specific costs relating to a red vein treatment. Ideally they will arrange a consultation to determine how many sessions of red vein treatment you will need and then they will be able to quote on this.

Consultations
Prior to any laser treatment being carried out, we offer a FREE, no obligation consultation with one of our laser therapists. A routine medical questionnaire form will be completed, and the full procedure of your required treatment type, clearly explained.

Exact treatment costs and payment options, should you decide to go ahead at a later stage, will also be provided at this time.

A FREE test patch will be carried out, as part of the consultation - this is to ensure suitability for treatment. Depending on skin type and the area being treated you may be required to leave from 24hrs - 2 weeks prior to being able to proceed with treatment.
